Me TOO! And without a release date for Proxmox 2.0 I think its time some of us with programming skills take it upon ourselves to write something thats useable. We could start out with just allowing multiple users to login to the admin interface and then from there start getting granular. I will take it up on myself to do investigating, but I need your help. Where are the web files located, what web engine is being used, and what programming language is it written in? Any help would be greatly appreciated. If I see enough interest I wil also setup a version control system repository for managment.

Thanks,
Seth

Proxmox VE is GPL, everybody who wants to join the development team is invited. So take a look on the source code, see how the system is working and then discuss with the team leader what part you are interested to work on.

Topics: see http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Roadmap

SVN access and bug tracker is available for all serious developers - if you want to join this group, you should make yourself more familiar with the project. => read documentation, wiki and existing code.

I would love to get involved with the project. Even if it meant something little as providing hardware to install on for testing purposes, but I think the frustration is that there is no information on how to get started. For one the open source section of the wiki merely points you to the source code on the ftp rather than providing contact information for team leaders and specific details as to what teams are available and what is to be worked on. Any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated. And if not publicly please accept this as a request to be on the "user management" team as a contributor and bug tester.

Thanks,
Seth

Well, working on large Software Projects means you need to invest some time. PVE is Open Source, so one advantage is that you have access to all source code. You should first read through the source (the project is well structured into different packages). When you find something interesting, we can discuss further development issues on the pve-user mailing list. Or you can contact me directly at dietmar@proxmox.com
