Hi,

I'm running a home server on proxmox with several VMs on it with Wake on Lan (WoL) enabled.

I have seen several guides on installing pfsense on proxmox. I have a spare 4 port NIC in addition to the current on board NIC I have setup with WoL.

This must be a silly question and I feel this is not possible, but just want to know if there is any method to create a pfsense VM through which traffic for proxmox be routed (http://mattcarey.me/2016/03/08/running-pfsense-proxmox-vm/#comment-87) but preserving WoL functionality.

Thanx

Hi,

as long you are using vbridges and the nic belongs to the proxmox host you can use Wol.
I mean Wol only do not work if you use pcie passthrough.
