VSS Support has been added to the windows guest agent

From my reading of it the hosting making a snapshot only has to send the "guest-fsfreeze-thaw" command to the guest, which I suspect proxmox already does, if so we would have vss support in windows with the latest windows agent.

Can the devs confirm that one way or another?

No, AFAIK we do not use that.
