Hello,

We're trying to get Intel VROC Raid to work. We already tried many different drivers and CLI Tools but we can't setup and mount a RAID Volume correctly.
While searching for a solution we came across a article which said that we need a HWE (Hardware Enablement Stack) Kernel. As Proxmox VE 6.1 is based on Ubuntu 19.04 is there a way to install a HWE Kernel? How can we do this? Did anyone here try to setup a Proxmox Server using a Intel VROC Raid?

With 6.1 we're at lease able to see a RAID which we didn't see using 6.0:
root@proxmox:/# mdadm --examine --brief --scan --config=partitions
ARRAY metadata=imsm UUID=1707b14e:c84b9806:d2f4963f:eb63083d
ARRAY /dev/md/Volume_0000 container=1707b14e:c84b9806:d2f4963f:eb63083d member=0 UUID=e36aad4f:10c6762c:db98a929:76cbaa36

Thanks in advance

Hi,
We're trying to get Intel VROC Raid to work
VROC needs MDraid what is not supported by Proxmox VE.
You can install every kernel you like but only the PVE kernels are supported.
So if there are any problems with it we can't help you.
