Hello,

I am new to proxmox and servers in general. I have I proxmox sever at my house. I am trying to connect to my friends server at his house. The VPN is only needed to backup data from his server. We are using truenas for the data backup. I still want to have local access to the back up files on my server. I am able to setup a wireguard vpn but when that's active I can no logger locally access my sever. My friend can access my sever from his network.

The goal of this project is to access the files locally while truenas get the files from the vpn. Can I get some advice on how to achieve this?

hi,

to be frank, that does not sound like a proxmox related issue.
how does your network look alike, where is the truenas installed? in a vm? where is the wireguard vpn installed, in a separate CT/VM? on the host`? Do you still have access to the Host console via VGA/Keyboard?
If you do not specify your issue more precisely, it will bei Garbage In - and the answer will be at best, garbage out.
