VNC Console displays only top left corner of the screen

This is very strange... I have been using Proxmox for a while and this just started very recently. The VNC console displays only 1/4 of the screen (top left corner).
See attached screenshot
Can anyone please help?
I notice that it happens regardless of the OS or browser I use.

this is a client issue, caused by the wrong browser plugin. do you use sun-java6-plugin?

yes, I use sun-java6-plugin (6.20) on lucid why? should I downgrade or use a different plugin?

do you run any 3D desktop features? disable it and try again. and make sure that the browser really uses the sun-java6-plugin (and not the icedtea6-plugin)

I just installed the icedtea6-plugin on my lucid and I got exactly the same issue.

to fix: remove the icedtea6-plugin

you are totally right!
I removed IceTea and OpenJDK... problem solved!
For your record, I also use Compiz 3D but that is not causing the issue.
