I 've upgraded Proxmox to 5.3 .When I try to remote control a VM using TightVNC,I've got "VNC Authentication Failed". My vnc password is correct.

How should i fix this?

Take care to follow the instructions in https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/VNC_Client_Access

I ran the following commands via monitor:

change vnc 0.0.0.0:100,password
set_password vnc foobar1

Also I tried different vnc port (>100) and my own password instead of foobar1 .

When I ran these commands at Proxmox 5.1 ,I connected successfully to all VMs using TightVNC. After I upgraded Proxmox to 5.3 I ran these commands and I got the message "VNC Authentication Failed" to specific VMs.

I've verified with actual pve version 5.3-9 and did not encounter any problems. (I use linux vncviewer as client, but usually that does nor make any difference).

Hi,
I try with "vncviewer" and "TightVNC " in 5 diference proxmox installation.
I have "VNC Authentication Failed" at all of them ( pve version 5.4 and 6 )
