VMs randomly going offline

Hi,

i have a strange issue. Im running PVE 5.3-12.

When connecting to the console via noVNC, the VM will go offline. It only appears to be VMs, not containers. RAM and swap usage are only 50%.

Is there a log i can check as to why they are going offline?

are those vms running windows ? if yes, it may be a bug in qemu that causes the crash. this should be fixed with the latest pve-qemu-kvm (>= 3.0.1)
alternatively you can change the display type of the vm to e.g. spice

Hi,

they are indeed windows VMs. I have just run the upgrade, i will reboot the main host tomorrow and do some testing.
