In my proxmox environment, I am getting crashes in the VMs during the template clone process, the IO Delay graph does not register more than 15 ~ 20% during the copy, but the VMs I already have running are affected to the point that they stop responding to commands in the remote access.
Below is the environment configuration:
Dual Xeon E5-2660 v2 (20c / 40t)
128GB RAM
PVE 7.3-4
SSDs:
KINGSTON SA400 S3 = PVE / ISOs
Micron M600 MTFD = VMs / Template
LVM-Thin
VMs:
.RAW
VirtIO single SCSI / Bus SCSI
No Cache / Discard: on / IO thread: on
Async IO: Default (io_uring) *I've already tested with others.
*I had the same problem when I had the single storage on Kingston,
I added the Micron thinking it was a disk-related problem and to my surprise the same situation.
My environment currently has 10 VMs running Windows Server 2019
Has anyone had something similar or can tell me which configuration I can minimize this impact?
I believe that the template cloning load should not impact other machines to the point that they become unusable.
