VMs cannot connect to the internet and not getting ip form dhcp server

Hello
i have installed proxmox 7.1 on esxi, my host meachine got ip through dhcp but vms dont!
i am using the default bridge configuration, and cannot ping my host or gateway vice versa so i set static ip and can ping host but cannot ping gateway from vm
my router is pfsense

gateway ip 192.168.20.1
host proxmomx ip 192.168.20.110
vm ip (static) : 192.168.20.230

can someone help me with this ?

did you enable the firewall? WIth hosst you mean the esxi machine or the Proxmox one?

by host i meant proxmox , no firewalls are off in proxmox

Can you ping the gateway form the host (proxmox)?

yes i can ping the gateway of my router

Can you post your Proxmox /etc/network/interfaces config as well as one of the VM configs qm config <vmid>. Additonally the network config of the VM would be interessting as well.

in the vm i gave a static ip but if its dhcp then it dosnt get ip

This also looks pretty normal. I'm guessing you restarted the VM & server at some point? What does ping 8.8.8.8 look like?
