Hi,

I wanted to export a Windows 7 VM from my virtualbox (VM works on VirtualBox) to my PVE (VM doesn't work). In order to do so, I exported an .ova and then converted the .vdmk into .qcow2.
Here are my VM's configuration in my PVE :

When I start the VM : I see a Windows Error.
When I decide to select "start Windows normally", it loops. When I want to repair filesystem, it doesn't work.

I tried several times to export again ova from my virtualbox and redo the trick. But it doesn't work.

Do you have any idea of what's happening ?

Thanks !

Hi!

What commands did you use to import the .vmdk file? As first small step, you could try to set the disk connection from scsi0 to ide0 or sata0.

Additionally, if Virtualbox has a export to .OVF option, that might help. There is a command qm importovf that should then handle most problems for you.

Hi Dominic,

Thank you for the answer.
I set up all my VMs like that, and it worked, it seems that this Windows 7 VM is an exception >.<..

I converted the vmdk using the command :
Code:
qemu-img convert -f vmdk -O qcow2 VMW7.vmdk vm-102-disk-0.qcow2

And then, put this one on my share. The share is mounted as "OVA_bank" visible on my proxmox app.

I gonna try "qm import ovf" tonight, but I did not use "qm import" for other VM and it worked fine. I just placed the qcow2 file on my share and my VMs can access it.

It is weird ^^, but I am very beginner in proxmox.

Strange, but as long as it's working now...
