Hallo,

Sorry, again in english,
I would like to work with VM but I am serioulsy struggling wiht the noVNC shell.

The shell available in the containers so much easier to work with. Am I the only one having such issues ?

using PM 7.4-3

Are you using some GUI in the VMs or just a CLI?

If the latter, you could just SSH into your VMs and work on them. That is definitely the nicest way.

Alternatively, you could add a "serial0" device and set the display to "serial terminal 0". Make sure that you first change the bootloader and kernel options to enable the ttyS0. Then you could also (manually) open the shell with xterm.js.

If you use a GUI in a Windows VM, RDP will give you the best experience. If you have a Linux VM with a GUI, then you could try Spice or something like x2go (needs to be installed inside the VM).

Usually, I am working in the browser.

Calling the PVE IP and then within the PVE GUI for the different VMs and Containers calling the Shell out of the GUI.

Its the easiest way for me as one can also easily make backups etc.

However going with SSH is also a good opportunity. I wil try if it will make working on VMs more comfortable.

Thanks for your prompt reply and the tip
