VM replication FAILED!!!!!

I have two proxmox nodes. They are clustered with virtual machines, and replication. They have ran fine for months and now replication has appeared to failed or stopped. When I access the web GUI and select replication I get the error.

"Error with cfs lock 'file-replication_cfg':got lock request timeout (500)"


Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this or fix it?

I've rebooted both nodes, and looked for lock in the .conf files of the server to no resolve.
