VM or LXC Container for running only nginx ?

hello all,

I want your opinion, what to choose, a VM or an LXC Container for running only nginx ?
I only want to run nginx, on a secret port, to stream some cameras and allow users to view..
So, can i do it with an LXC Container ?
If not, which linux distro you suggest as lightweight, etc.. ?

Just relying on a "secret" port sounds like a very bad idea. Every unwanted bot/noob with a port scanner will find your nginx and can watch your stream. For security reasons I would always use VMs to host webservers. But I guess you don't care that much about security. Something like a alpine LXC should be very lightweight.

I could use nginx's security or .htaccess to add a password..
