Hello,

I started an import process from ESXi to Proxmox for a VM (Windows Server 2022) two hours ago, but it is still stuck at 0% progress:

transferred 0.0 B of 128.0 KiB (0.00%)
transferred 128.0 KiB of 128.0 KiB (100.00%)
transferred 128.0 KiB of 128.0 KiB (100.00%)
efidisk0: successfully created disk 'vmpool:vm-105-disk-0,size=1M'
create full clone of drive (Esxi_NoDNS:ha-datacenter/Disk 3/ENG_WS_KS/ENG_WS_KS-000011.vmdk)
transferred 0.0 B of 100.0 GiB (0.00%)

There is a huge amount of traffic on both nodes, reaching 90% of the NIC speed, while the import process is running.

The VM is in shutdown stat and all snapshot on the source are deleted
Please are there any solution for this problem ?

Thank you in advance

After 2 hours and sharing this post, i just got this message lol

transferred 1.0 GiB of 100.0 GiB (1.00%)

This is process seem be very slow, is it normal ?

This isn’t normal. Something is bottlenecking the transfer.
I'm usually using two options for migration.
Starwinds V2V converter https://www.starwindsoftware.com/starwind-v2v-converter
Backup and restore by using Vinchin (or any other backup software) https://www.vinchin.com/?s=5tt3pblmez
I don’t understand — when I import a Linux VM, it takes a maximum of 30 minutes, but when I import a Windows Server VM, it takes 2 to 3 days. Thank God our users are patient!
