Hello.
We have a Proxmox backup server and a lot of Proxmox VE connected to it (one per customer). We have a VMID name convention for each server exemple VMID100 is for router, VMID101 is for web ....
Unfortunately it seems Proxmox backup didnt take account the source of the server. He merge all the backup. For example we have VMID 100 on 4 server. In proxmox backup they are all in the same group. If i want to keep the last 7 days i'm not sure he will keep the 7 days for each server.

Is there any way to change this behavior except having an unique Id for each VM (dont want to rename / backup/restore 50 VM)?o_O:eek:o_O

Proxmox Backup version 2.1
Proxmox VE (several) : from 6.4 to 7.X

Thanks in advance Fabien P.

The suggested way is to use a separate datastore for each cluster (customer in your case).
A datastore namespace feature is already on our todo list, but not implemented yet..
