Hello. I have a big problem with my FreeNas virtual mashine. This mashine working several years without any problems till now. I upgrade my proxmox with last update and add ssd disk samsung 860 QVO 1 TB as extended disk to FreeNas pool. And it was done in the same time. After that when i read or write to FreeNas pool any information, my mashine is in random time switched off. Inside pool i have also two 1TB HDD. And before i haven't any problems. And now i don't know what is problem, ssd disk or last proxmox update. I am confused! Who can help me? With other two mashines - PfSense and Win 10 i haven't any problems, they still working when FreeNas go to withed off state.

hi,

did you reboot your node after the upgrades were complete? if not please try that first

if that doesn't work:

my mashine is in random time switched off
please post some logs for this, so we can figure out what the problem is. /var/log/syslog and journalctl output can be useful.

also if there are any errors on the PVE task log on the GUI, please post that as well

well that's already a good starting point..

probably there's some problem connecting to your storage. check if your nfs storage is mounted on your PVE host. maybe there's a network issue.

NFS storage mounted to proxmox host share from my FreeNAS VM which is down, so it can't be reached becase source in face VM is switched off. Why she is switched of randomly, i'll to know.

And no answers... My problem not fixed yet. I think, its ssd problem. But why? SSS is new bought 2 weeks ago. Dear admins, can you advise me something?

to check for SSD problems, use smartctl -a DEVICE for example smartctl -a /dev/sda (find the device name in lsblk). in the output you will see any issues..

Nothing. No errors. I think disk is good. Why i receive problems with ssd. I have 2 hdd and i haven't problems before. I try change sata ports for this ssd, but it not help.

the disk you're using should have smartctl capabilities... but it says it doesn't, and also the serial number looks really funny. where did you buy this disk?

here is a regular output from the same disk:

Code:
# smartctl --all /dev/sda
smartctl 7.1 2019-12-30 r5022 [x86_64-linux-5.4.41-1-pve] (local build)

Ok, I try to reinstall my FreeNAS VM without any extended disks, only with host disk (I add 2 partitions 32gb for system and 40gb for pool). And when I try use transmission plugin for download or try put some data to pool disk, I receive randomly switching off this VM. Another two machines feel good in the same time. And I think, it’s happening when try put something to disk. So, it’s problem FreeNAS system or proxmox? Can anybody answer?
