VM Debian - Mem usage strange display

Hello

With a Debian 12 VM and QEMU guest agent enable, I have:
Memory usage
91.65% (18.33 GiB of 20.00 GiB)

But inside Glances for this specific VM

Total 19.5G
Used 8.5G
Free 11.5G


and with free -g

19 8 1 0 11 11
(same or almost as glances)

Thanks for help to understand what is happening
 
This is a very common question. There's lots of misconceptions and variables but the gist is that the value in the GUI also includes cache/buffer values from the guest. Only allocate what is needed and what you can spare.

My dashboard shows that most of my RAM is used although my VMs and LXCs only have a small fraction allocated. Is this a memory leak bug?

Propably not. First you need to know that ProxmoxVE is based on Debian Linux...
