I have a PVE 8 server setup that I cannot reboot a VM on successfully. I am forced to rollback to get the machine to start back up which it doses while still running.
The VM in question is AlmaLinux 8 and I believe it to affect the other VM (I'm backing it up right now) but I had this problem before for an identical VM.
Steps to recreate:
1) Reboot the machine either trough the CLI or using start/stop in PVE.
2) The VM restarts but it comes back on broken/ - lets just say all that works about it is the green flag on the VM icon.
3) Rollback to the last snapshot and it will start up. I reinforced this is the behavior as I deleted one of the snapshoots and this continuies to only start up after a rollback. Start/Stop causes it to break.
Any ideas? Just tell me what data I can provide for you to help me. Oh and rebooting the whole node dose not help.
Fingers crossed someone can help me. I am stuck in the water on this VM as I need to restart to update the VM.
EDIT:
It would appear to only be happening on the AlmaLinux 8 VM's.
