VM backup exclude syntaxe on Windows

Hello,

I searched the forum but I couldn't find an answer so I'm posting my question here.
I'm trying to exclude 'pagefile.sys' while making backup of my windows VM.

In the file /etc/cron.d/vzdump I added this --exclude-path .+/pagefile.sys at the end of the line of the VM.

But it doesn't seems to work. I mean the size of the backup file is the same with or without the exclude-path
I don't know how to look inside the file to verify the structure of the dump.

Is there a special syntaxe for windows's path?

Option --exclude-path is only for containers (not for VMs)

Add pagefile.sys to an extra drive, and exclude the whole drive (option backup=no)

Ok, interesting idea.

I quickly searched but didn't find the information.
The help says:
backup=<boolean>
Whether the drive should be included when making backups.

With backup=no the drive won't be created (empty) when I will restore the VM ?
