VLC i think Error

Hi just installed 2.0 updated and upgraded to make shore its up to date,

when i open a console windows i get nothing and in the task windows this :-



no connection : Connection timed out
TASK ERROR: command '/bin/nc -l -p 5900 -w 10 -c /usr/sbin/qm vncproxy 100 2>/dev/null' failed: exit code 1

can any one help i had a look in the forum couldnt see any thing may have overlook somthing

Hi I'm using fire fox 4, it was not a problem with prox 1.8 do you think I need t upgrade or use ie?

Try telnetting to the port (i.e. telnet <proxmoxhost> 5900) to see if the vnc proxy/netcat is actually running. Might be a problem at the proxmox end, network issues, etc.
Of course, you could also trie with Internet Explorer...

You could also try to run the netcat/vncproxy command manually on the server, maybe there's some diagnostic options as well.

Hi

i can now get a console BUT still the same error, i found my first problem this was some thing the wife pointed out, i didnt have java installed
so asfter installing java still get the same error but can get cosole,

could the Nic be a problem im using a Zotac Mini Itx with the onboard nic 100mb nic just for testing its got an Nvidia chipset Ion 610i

my 1.8/1.9 build is the same spec but with a HP Server Card and runs a dream as home server
