From what I can tell most storage solution have their own dedicated network that is segregated from the hypervisor network. With that said... Will I even need VLAN or network routing in general to make my hypervisor network and storage network to talk?
The reason the hypervisor and storage subnets are on different VLANs is because they don't need to talk to each other. If you need them to be able to communicate with each other its better to have everything on the same VLAN.
