Virtualizarion of an Windows domain controller - deactivate the cache

Hi,

following Setup:

proxmox VE 7.1

VM Store with ZFS and 6 SSDs

Problem:
I setup an VM for an secondary Domain Controller.
When I try to promote the Server to the Domain it got an Error and I see in the dmcpromo.og that it tells me it reconised an active cache.

I try to switch the settings for the harddisk image (still it was on default: no cache).

I try direct synch and write through. I see in the table: https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Performance_Tweaks that dierct synch should disable the cache complete.

But I still got the error in the dcpromo log file.

Any hint?

It was a Problem with the VirtIO driver and the disk image over virtio.

The OS wasn't able to change the chache settings of the drive.

I recreate a new VM with IDE drive and no it works.
