Hi I have a physical server with a mirrored root via mdadm on 2 1tb ssd's. The partitions are managed by LVM.

I pulled one of the disks and ran clinezilla over it, but it does not recognise the partitions.

Looking for a method to move it to proxmox. Do I just dd the disk?

Help

Do I just dd the disk?
That'll always work.

If you could take the machine offline, I'd suggest to live boot a linux and copy the files instead of the disks in order to strip the OS from the mdadm layer. Depending on your knowledge, the dd way could be much faster.

Ex admin here. So quite knowable. It's my prod server thus needs to be online, but taken out one of the mirrors, so I could get mdmdm to rebuilt with one disk on another machine.
