Virtual machine crashes

I have a virtual machine with linux for an asterisk with Issabel, and suddenly it fails me, the machine loses packets and I cannot reach it, the calls are cut off, until I cannot access it. To solve it I restore a backup I create a new virtual machine and turn it on, turn off the one that does not work and everything works correctly. This problem happens to me
, it can still work well 1 week or 2 weeks until it falls. Normally CPU uses is Could you give me clues to know why this happens to me? Best regards.

is it possible that the VM ran out of RAM? Maybe the program you're running has some small memory leakage which builds up.

Could be, but how could I detect it? normally is 25 - 28% use of memory and 10 % use of cpu, anyway I will swap RSM memory to 6G, regards

You could check every week if the base memory usage increased from the week before. It doesn't have to be a week, just some significant timespan. If the base usage increased, the RAM is filling up slowly, what would indicate a memory leak in the program.
