Please be gentle, newish to Proxmox. That said...
In my homelab I have Proxmox v8 up and running with my VMs. I virtualized my igpu on the 1215u. All works well. My ubuntu vm has access to the vgpu as intended. My transcoding and so forth uses the vgpu as intended.
The one issue I'm having is with vnc on my ubuntu vm. I get a black screen of doom. If I passthrough the actual igpu (there is a hardware edid on it) vnc works as intended. However, with the vgpu, I get the black screen. I guess it because with the vgpu, ubuntu does not see a monitor and vnc doesn't capture anything?
So the crux of my question, is there a way to emulate a monitor for the vm like a software edid from within proxmox? Or is this a ubuntu rabbit hole I need to follow? I am trying to stay with RealVNC. This is what I have on my other devices at other locations, makes it all nice and neat in one client. If you have any ideas, I would appreciate it greatly.
Thanks!
