Hi there,
I had the requirement so that I can use a Windows 10 VM as MediaPlayer on my TV. Until now I do have Windows 10 installed on the hardware and running debian in a VM with docker. A bid weird but it needs to be wife approved ^^. However its quite resource intensive and I wanted to have Docker running on proxmox.
So the Question was... how to get the video out of the VM to watch videos on the TV.
I tried to use an USB-HDMI dongle I use on my Notebook to extend to a second screen.
Amazon Link (BENEFEI USB-HDMI Adapter - Amazon Link BENEFI Adapter
Howerver... No video output on the VM...
In that forum I havent found any information but google gave me some hint. Suprisingly... the iobroker forum has a thead about that.

With that information I purchased the mentioned Adapter from there and a cheaper one.
Link - wavlink USB 3.0 to HDMI Adapter

And with both Adapters I get a decent image when doing Office stuff and Administration - Unfortunately the Videoquality - when watching any Video is not 100% what I've expected - its kinda compressed and it seems to lack in framerate.
I think its practical and I hope if someone else is having that requirement - I hope I could help with that.
The only thing you have to do here - Just add the USB-Device to your VM and it should work out of the box (maybe except missing virtio drivers).
Cheers
