Hi,
Completely new here...
I bought an old NUC and want to install Proxmox VE on it. The problem is that I cannot get to the bios. I tried everything but the NUC keeps on going to the windows login immediately. And as I have no login to it (second hand NUC, you know), I can't figure a way to get in it. I tried 3seconds power button, remove MB battery,...
But I think I have seen a way to install proxmox VE on a msata drive via a USB adapter, which can be plugged in an existing PC. After the setup (with Balena Etcher?), you would be able to insert the msata in the NUC and boot it up.
So 2 questions: is this correct? Where can I find the procedure to do this.

Thanks in advance for answering my possible stupid question.

You could remove the disk, wipe it in another computer and then put it in the NUC again. If there is no windows on the disk it can`t boot it and maybe will try to boot from USB as a fallback.
And you really need to install PVE. Its a ISO and not a disk image that you just write using ether. So first you use rufus to put the ISO on a bootble USB stick, then you boot from that usb stick and you the PVE installer to install PVE to a HDD/SSD.
