Ok so I bought a new NUC 11 gen and installed Proxmox from a USB stick. Configured IP to 192.168.1.190, gateway 192.168.1.1, DNS 8.8.8.8, hostname proxmox.mydomain.com
Can't access the web UI from the browser on my laptop (tried both Firefox and Chrome. laptop is on the same network as the proxmox machine). Trying to curl http://192.168.1.190:8006/ directly gives an empty response:
I can SSH into the machine just fine, however.
- Once I'm in, ` curl -k https://localhost:8006` returns a valid-looking html response.
- I can ping my laptop's IP address from the proxmox server.
- nmap doesn't show 8006 as an open port
- I double checked, and this is the only machine using this IP address on my network (Unifi DreamMachine). I set it to a fixed IP fwiw
- Restarting `systemctl restart pveproxy.service` does not help
