[SOLVED] v8.1+ notifications using Gmail as a relay - use STARTTLS

Recently I switched from the older complicated postfix e-mail notifications configuration to the v8.1+ notifications configured via GUI.

I initially set my SMTP notification target to use TLS encryption, port 587, but received a TLS error from Gmail when testing my new config.

Could not test target: could not notify via endpoint(s): gmail: Connection error: error:0A00010B:SSL routines:ssl3_get_record:wrong version number:../ssl/record/ssl3_record.c:354: (500)

Turns I had to set it to use STARTTLS for encryption instead of TLS.

Thank you so much Bartsch, another, issue is the certificate needs to be a full chain certificate, that's in my case as well as this reported by Bastsch.
