v4 and nested virtualsation - no go

Hello

I trying to use ProxMox in a nested visualization environment (within VMWare ESX 6 or Workstation 11).

Version 3.4 worked like a charm. However v4 wouldn't even boot the install disk, crashing with a divide by 0 error.

Anyone having more luck ?

I guess you could try installing 3.4 and upgrading it to 4.0

I was able to successfully install 4.0 into a new VM inside Fusion without issue setting the OS type to Ubuntu x64 since my version does not have debian 8 listed.

Proxmox 4 works on both Vmware workstation and Virtual Box.
I do my testing on both at work respectively at home.

You can also install Proxmox Ve on to of Debian 8
