Using Rubrik backups after migrating from VMware to Proxmox VE (possibile?)

Hello Proxmox users and team,

we are currently using Rubrik as our enterprise backup platform integrated with VMware vCenter.

We are evaluating a migration from VMware to Proxmox VE, but we would like to continue using Rubrik for VM-level backups, avoiding agent-based or bare-metal approaches.

Is there any roadmap, plan, or supported method to enable native or API-based integration between Proxmox VE and Rubrik, comparable to the current Rubrik–vCenter integration?

This information is critical for evaluating Proxmox VE in enterprise environments where Rubrik is already in place.

you should ask "Rubrik" directly.

It's the editor who need to support proxmox, not the way around.

There is an API that backup providers can use to integrate backup and restore into PVE. It is also possible to import disk images in various formats, but then you need to create the guest configuration yourself.
