Using a NIC for a KVM

We want to use a VM as firewall, is possible to link a NIC to a single VM ?Either by means of a VLAN or by really linking the NIC directly?How would that work / config look like?

create a vmbr with that nic slave, and use that vmbr only for that vm. this could work.
for other vms, use other vmbr

i think if this fits in your network, and setup, it could work
