Hi,

I assigned Admin privileges to a user for a datastore, but I see another user with the same name in the list.

Issues:

  1. How can I log in with the correct user with admin privileges ?
  2. How do I get the datastore fingerprint for the user?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

HI,
but I see another user with the same name in the list.
User names are unique within the selected realm, so I guess you have created users in different realms?

How can I log in with the correct user with admin privileges ?
By also selecting the corresponding realm in the login window e.g. The Proxmox Backup authentication server realm if the user is created within pbs realm.

How do I get the datastore fingerprint for the user?
To get the fingerprint for self signed certificates just select the corresponding datastore from the list, go to the Summary tab and click on Show Connection Information. Alternatively you can get it from the cli via proxmox-backup-manager cert info.

Hi,

I need help with the following in Proxmox:

  1. Create a datastore and configure it.
  2. Assign the datastore to a VM for storage.
  3. Take a backup of the VM.
  4. Give the customer access to the datastore only so they can download and restore the backup.
May I know what’s the best way to do this?

Thanks!
