Hello,

At my current organization, we are in the process of evaluating Proxmox Data Center Manager for our infrastructure management requirements.

Could you clarify whether it is possible to implement Datacenter Manager with servers operating under Free Trial Subscription Keys? Specifically, does each server require a Basic or Standard Subscription Key to be recognized and listed within Datacenter Manager, or is support for Free Trial Subscription Keys sufficient for integration and visibility?

Additionally, I would appreciate clarification regarding cluster migrations: Are these migration capabilities available if the environment does not meet the 80% threshold of nodes with Basic, Standard, or Enterprise Subscriptions, or is this functionality restricted under such conditions?

kind regards,
Steven

PDM recognizes and lists all nodes that you add regardless of the subscription of the nodes. There are no functional restrictions even if your nodes have no subscription.

The 80% threshold only matters if you decide to go into production and want PDM to have a subscription and official support, then at least 80% of all nodes that you add to PDM need to have at least a basic subscription (PVE and PBS).

If you don't reach the 80% threshold then you will get a subscription popup reminder on login and you may have to use the "no-subscription" update repository (less tested) instead of the enterprise update repository but you won't loose any functionality.
