Use a different qemu

Hello, I need to try virtiofs qemu in Proxmox so I am thinking to apply the patches that I found in pve-qemu repo on top of the qemu virtiofs repo. My question is: Is this enough to allow Proxmox to use this version of qemu?

as long as the binary 'qemu-system-x86_64' is there and compatible (meaning our patches are applied), it should be enough

Thanks! So those patches are all I need to get a binary compatible with Proxmox. I have already started and some of them do not apply so I have to port them. But I am worried about to not getting a compatible binary at the end.

Hello, I worked on the patches and now you can apply them on top of virtiofs-qemu. I am still figuring out how to integrate this qemu in Promox. I committed the patches at https://github.com/MatiasVara/pve-virtiofsqemu.
