I am using a usb capture device (based on macrovision ms 2130) that works generally fine under debian and ubuntu.
Now I want to use this device in a vm and i have used usb passthrough of the usb port to get the device into my vm.
Generally passthrough seems to work and I got the same results via lsusb on the vm that i got on the host.
When I want to capture something over the device there are several problems:
On Linux Guest (testet with debian/ubuntu): Video works fine, but I am not able to get any sound out of the device.
On Windows: Device is visible, but I get DirectShow errors if I want to use the device. I am not able to see/get audio/video.
I have testet passthrogh via "Vendor/Device ID" and via "USB Port". Results are the same.
Can anyone help me?
