USB Passthrough Device Stops Working

I'm setting up a Zigbee2mqtt docker container running on a Debian 12 VM. I had been using a Conbee II zigbee coordinator USB stick on existing machine for a few years without issue.

On my new Debian 12 VM, I successfully passed through the Conbee II Zigbee coordinator USB stick using the GUI. I chose the option 'Use USB Vendor/Device ID' and also followed the guidance from https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/USB_Devices_in_Virtual_Machines.

Using the lsusb command on the VM, I could see the device listed by name and could also see it listed as /dev/ttyACM0.

I used my existing docker configuration from my existing machine and everything started up correctly. The Conbee stick was working correctly.

After 4-5 hours, the Conbee stick stopped working and is no longer listed using the lsusb command and does not appear in /dev. I did conduct a 'shutdown' backup of the VM during that period, so the disconnect may have occurred then.

I've trawled through some posts from others having similar issues with zigbee USB devices, but none have shown a resolution that fixed the problem.

I have a hunch that it might be a USB bandwidth issue, that causes the device to disconnect, but I'm no expert.

Hoping someone can shed some light.
