USB Drive Mount Size Not Detected (?)

Hello All,
I've mounted an empty 256GB USB Flash in my PVE data folder (which has 90 GB remaining). I can fill the USB flash (Mount as DIR storage in GUI) up to about 50GB and then it complains that it's out of space for more backups relative to the PVE size.

Am I doing something wrong? Any help appreciated. Thanks!

Bump. Still having issues with USB Drive mount not informing web ui of storage capacity.

What does lsblk say for the USB device?

Maybe that is my problem? I've mounted it as a directory. Not an LVM.

Should I create a Volume Group and LVM in it and access it that way? (never done that with USB).

pvs, vgs, and lvs don't show it.

I have directories under Storage that correspond with mount points...whatever mounts to that point. I can't answer why it's limiting to 50GB but try creating a volume group and LVM.

Still add as Directory under storage, but set up the drive as you said with volume group. Backup your data.
