I'm running Proxmox 1.4 beta with a Windows 2008 R2 RC guest (VM 101).

1.) Plugged USB hard drive into host.
2.) Used lsusb and saw the new device. Let's call it "X:X".
3.) Used the following at host console: qm set 101 -hostusb X:X
4.) Completely shutdown the guest.
5.) Started guest.
6.) Guest sees new "USB Mass Storage Device" BUT with a yellow triangle and exclamation point.
7.) Device status is "This device cannot start. (Code 10)"

Is this a Windows guest support problem or do I need to configure this differently?

hi,

Code:
dmesg | grep ttyACM
Result ?

Microsoft said :
Code 10
If the device has a FailReasonString value in its hardware key, that
string appears as the error message. The driver or enumerator puts this
registry string value there. If there is no FailReasonString in the
hardware key, you receive the following error message:

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

Recommended resolution

Device failed to start. Click Update Driver to update the drivers for
this device. On the General Properties tab of the device, click
Troubleshoot to start the Troubleshooting Wizard.

Regars,

Tesquenure
