I'm a complete noob and just started playing with Proxmox trying to get Frigate running. I bought an USB Coral TPU to use but Proxmox is not detecting the device at all. The USB port is working as I tested with a USB HDD. And at one point, the USB Coral TPU was working but I did a fresh reinstall of Proxmox to upgrade to 8.4.1 and now it does not even show up under when I run "lsusb". What am I missing?

Hm. But my problem is that I cannot see the device in Proxmox VE to begin with.

I am using Linux Mint on my laptop. Changing the supplied USB-A to USB-C cable and using a USB-C to USB-C cable rated 100 mA solved the problem. I hope that helps as it caused me lots of frustrations.

I had the same issue. The problem was in the stock cable that came with the Coral TPU. It seems it works only for power delivery but not for data transfer. When I changed the cable the Coral TPU started to be detected in Linux, Windows, Proxmox, etc.
