USB between VMs

I'm looking into using virtual machines to test/develop against virtual android machines. One of the methods requires a USB connection between the Windows/Linux box running a tool called the Android Debug Bridge (adb) which connects via a USB connection. Is there a way to connect two virtual hosts in Proxmox to each other as if there is a USB cable connecting them?

If the two virtual machines were two separate physical desktop computers, could you do it with a USB-cable? Then you could use USB Passthrough as documented in section 10.2.9.
