Usage of node as Cold Standby

Hello guys,
I'm currently using a 4-HA-Node Cluster, which isn't really perfect due to its even number of nodes.
That's why I was wonderng if it's possible to use the fourth node as a Cold Standby, without losing redundancy?

Basically the forth node would be switched off and I still could lose one node out of three.

I can't find a solution how to keep the fourth node out of the cluster without reconfiguring when I want to quickly deploy it.

Thanks!

There's nothing wrong with a 4 node cluster.

You have a "perfect" cluster for 1-node failure without loss of quorum.

Having a 4 node cluster with all 4 nodes hot to step in for a node failure is better than a 3hot+1cold cluster any day.

If the 4th is cold, and you loose a node, then you loose quorum until you boot the 4th node. I think this would be likely to cause problems, and solve no problems.

Isn't a cluster with a even numer of nodes causing a lower resiliency to failures than one with an odd number?
