Hi everyone,
I'm the developer of urZONE PVE, a set of WordPress plugins that turns a WordPress site into a self-service panel for Proxmox VE. I'm posting to share it and to get honest feedback from people who run Proxmox for customers, a lab, or a small hosting business.
The problem it tries to solve: if you want customers to manage their own VMs and containers, the usual route is a separate billing and client-area system. I wanted something that works for people who already run WordPress and don't want another platform to maintain.
What it does:
- Connects to the Proxmox API and shows each customer a panel with live charts and status for their containers and VMs
- Plans tied to WordPress user roles, with limits per plan
- Instance ownership, so customers only see and manage their own machines
- Snapshot, clone and template tools, depending on the plan
- Per-instance limits for CPU cores, memory and disk
- Optional web shell for containers and VMs
- A time-limited demo plan that automatically cleans up its demo instances
- A settings screen in the WordPress admin that writes the configuration to wp-config.php for you, so there's no hand-editing
- Multisite support
How it's split up:
- Free editions and code: https://github.com/urZONE-VE
- Pro editions, plans and licensing: https://urzone.org/
- Downloads: https://dnl.urzone.org/
It's a young project and I'm still shaping it, so I'd really like to hear:
1. What would you need from a panel like this before using it?
2. What are you using today, and what annoys you about it?
3. Anything that looks like a security or setup concern?
You can reply here or email me at admin@urzone.org.
Thanks for reading, and for any feedback, including the critical kind.
