Hi there,
I am running Proxmox 3.4-16 and looking to upgrade.
I am attempting to follow this guide - https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Convert_OpenVZ_to_LXC but, at the start where I need to check network settings, I have followed the instructions for both VENET AND VETH in obtaining network configuration and in both scenarios I get the following messages when I run the commands in a shell from within the Proxmox GUI:
vzctl enter 103
Container config file does not exist
vzctlenter 103
Container config file does not exist.
I am not sure whether this is something i'm doing wrong, something I have previous done wrong or whether it is something fixable.
If I was to attempt to back up the virtual machines as Operating Systems in their own right, would this be possible from within the virtual machine's Shell access (to a portable USB Drive) and then how would I go about importing the Operating System (Not Proxmox backup) back in.
Naturally, i'd rather do it the proper way, following the instructions, if possible. Should all Proxmox systems have Containers around the vm's to begin with as part of a proper configuration?
Thanks for your time, i'm very stuck, particularly today with IRC being so quiet!
