Hi

I have a bunch of LXC Containers that are running on 22.04 LTS. How do i upgrade them to 24.04 LTS? I have downloaded the 24.04 LTS image to the local drive and also tried running "do-release-upgrade -d", but it says no new LTS releases are available

Checking for a new Ubuntu release
Upgrades to the development release are only
available from the latest supported release.

Hi,

first of - please note that this has nothing to do with Proxmox VE and is completely Ubuntu-specific.

Secondly - please be aware that Canonical has a weird release cycle, nothing we control in any way.
So upgrades from 22.04 will only be offered to users after 24.04.1 is released - which, according to their schedule, will be in August. See also their announcement here: https://discourse.ubuntu.com/t/ubuntu-24-04-lts-noble-numbat-release-notes/39890#upgrades-4
