Upgrade Proxmox 3.4 zu 6.4

Hello,
I need to Upgrade Proxmox 3.4 to 6.4. Can i do this, with new Install of Proxmox and copy the kvm VM and the pve settings?

you either

* make backups and restore them on the new machine (test it before!)
* you follow the upgrade guides:

make always sure you have backups and that they are working!
