Upgrade from 2.3 to 3.0

Good day.

Quick question about this: http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Upgrade_from_2.3_to_3.0

It states - "Before you start, make sure you have a valid backup of all your settings, VM´s and CT´s."

What is the best way to achieve valid backup of all settings?

tar czf pve-2.3.etc.backup.tgz /etc/pve

tar czf pve-2.3.etc.backup.tgz /etc/pve

That is just the PVE related host configuration. You also need to backup all VMs and CTs. Many users use vzdump/vzrestore/qmrestore for this.
