Upgrade 6 to 7

Hi everyone, I have read the directions on how to update / install the new PVE 7. Although the question may seem trivial, is it better to rebuild a cluster from scratch or to proceed at risk with the upgrade? I was thinking of disconnecting an active node from the cluster (3 nodes), change the quorum status to only 2 nodes, the third node disconnected, format it and install 7.0. I have a PBS network where there are all the backups of version 6, so proceeding with a new cluster and connecting the new PVE 7 to the PBS is it possible to restore the VMs to the new one? Finally done this the new node will be created as a new master cluster and then format the other 2 to be able to join them to the new one. Sorry for the inaccurate explanations ... Thanks

Both ways are possible. Upgrade usually works if you follow the documentation but reinstallation is also an option. Of course you can restore guests from PBS 1 to PVE 7.
Go with the way you like better.

Thank you for answering . I imagined, but I sell a cluster with 3 nodes 5 VMs and LXC replication, and nfs share, I have to better evaluate what to do or which direction to choose to have less inconvenience. And then I was wondering if I start from node1 to carry out the update, the cluste writing is now "Hybrid", will it be working? Thanks at the moment for your advice.

It's not meant to be used like that for a longer period of time but for the timespan of the update it will work in a mixed state.
Just keep in mind, like the guide says, that you can only live migrate to updated nodes, not back. But that's only a minor inconvenience with three nodes, I would say.

So it seems to me that I can proceed with the update with the first node, when restarting the cluster structure should still be stable. Once this is done, we proceed with the others. Is that correct or I understand but
