Upgrade 2-node-cluster from 6.4 to 7.3

Hello,

what's the best way to upgrade a two-node cluster (with a external corosync node) running PVE 6.4 to 7.3?

I read in the documentation that a Proxmox Backup Server is a requirement for in-place upgrades? Is that really a requirement? I'm using other methods to backup my VMs.

I can migrate all my VMs to one node while I'm upgrading the other node - for such a scenario, would you recommend an in-place upgrade or a new installation of the "inactive node"?

Thank you!

The recommendation is to have a valid backup on all your VMs and configs.

We have tested the upgrade steps included in our wiki guide many times. I would upgrade the PVE nodes.
